Basti's Song 01:46
Leavin’ the city To be amongst the trees Where I’m truly free My outdoor sanctuary Don’t take me back Please don’t take me back These days I’ve been confused I’m usually waiting on you We’ll go for a lap or two But that’s all we do Running around aimlessly Rollin’ in shit and pee Running around aimlessly Sniffin’ everything I see I don’t know what’s got you stressed But I’m reaping all the benefits
2.
Max's Song 02:22
If lose my way Call out to me Let me hear your voice Loud and clearly I try to stay Where I feel safe Where I’m familiar With my surroundings The light has left me I’m left with smells and sounds And this motley crew Leadin’ me around And this dog’s dream Is nowhere to be seen But lucky for me I’m in good company
3.
It’s lonely here these days No life to this city We’re losing our sanity How quickly things can change There’s no room to breathe Everyone’s on top of me These days aren’t quality I’ve gotta retreat It’s quiet here these days It begs for me to stay Oh, the irony How quickly things can change There’s so much room to breathe It’s not like it used to be These days are quality This piece of mind is key How quickly thinks can change It’s funny how things change
4.
Party's Over 03:07
These things aren’t sustainable for me I won’t live long like this I’m artificially happy It’s no way to live So what do you do When your “go-tos” No longer serve you It’s easier to just ignore the truth Living for what’s temporary I won’t last long like this I should be fighting for longevity For a greater sense of purpose So what do you do When your “go-tos” No longer serve you I can’t continue to ignore the truth

about

I wrote and recorded this EP during my time in quarantine. I left Pittsburgh due to covid and started staying at my grandparents' old house in Grampian, PA. I was also going through a lot of personal changes and hanging out with dogs amidst all of the existential dread so that's mainly what I wrote about.

All online donations for this EP will go towards Steel Smiling.
